Start with the decision
An asset record becomes useful when the team can connect it with the work, evidence, constraints, and authority needed for the next decision. A shared ontology gives those business objects consistent identities and relationships. The design begins with what people need to decide, rather than with the shape of a source table.
Connect meaning with action
A work order is related to equipment, materials, people, permits, and cost. Each relationship changes the context in which an action is allowed. Modeling those links makes prerequisites, blockers, and responsibilities visible. An action also needs submission criteria, expected side effects, and an authoritative way to confirm the result.
Preserve the evidence
The source revision, operating context, approval, and accepted outcome should remain connected. This gives an authorized reviewer a path from the decision back to its evidence, and gives the team a basis for correcting a mapping or improving a workflow without losing its history.
